Here is my very first bill from Globe. Due date is on July 6 2011. My bill was a lot bigger than what I expected. This was not explained very well by the Sales Agent. All she said is to expect a bill of only P495 since the P500 installation fee will be deducted from that bill. Well, so much for the misinformation. I went through Globe's chat assist to get some explaining why my bill was P1260.33 as oppose to what the sales agent said. This is how the chat agent explained. He said that my account was activated June 8 2011 even though it was installed on June 4 2011. From June 8 till June 15 was the first cut-off period. June 16 to July 15 is the second cut-off period. So on the first, they charge me only P236.90 from the MRF( monthly recurring fee). Sounds reasonable. On the second, they charge me P888.39 which has a 15 days advance charge. Again, it's reasonable. So all in all ,plus taxes, it will be P1260.33 minus the P500 one-time charges (this charge includes the tax).
I asked the chat agent to make a report against one of their sales agents who helped me signed-up to make sure that this situation will not happen again with other future customers. I learned a lesson that Globe is indeed not a greedy company as opposed to some who are frustrated and misunderstood the way the service and billing was served. It was not Globe who lack the training for their field sales agents but it was the agents themselves who just wants to get money by deceit of not really telling the most important details of the service. So far, so good.
